Henry Cowell’s Who Wrote this Fiendish Rite of Spring from his collection Three Anti-Modernist Songs at their Ballet Russes concert at the National Gallery of Australia, 2011.

The text comes from a letter written to the editor in The Chicago Tribune after a performance of the symphonic work, which was later collected and published by composer and writer Nicolas Slonimsky.
