Inside the gritty yet lush acoustic of an industrial hangar, the Griffyn Ensemble will perform their own unique version of Brian Eno’s Music for Airports – a seminal work of ambient beauty written by the pioneer British rock musician, composer, and producer.

In true Griffyn fashion the Ensemble will also weave in and out between music spanning genre and geography inspired by transport: From modernist Arnold Schoenberg’s arrangement of Funiculi Funicula – the world’s first jingle – to reimaginings of children’s nursery rhymes.

Sunday 20 October 3pm 2013, TAMS Depot, 255 Canberra Avenue Fyshwick

The Griffyn Ensemble will also produce a live installation within the foyers of Canberra Airport across, realising Brian Eno’s Music For Airports for commuters coming to and from Canberra. Times are:
Friday 18 October 4:30pm – 7:30pm
Saturday 19 October 11am – 2pm
Monday 21 October 6:30am – 9:30am
